Spring 2017 Brown Bag Lunch Lecture Series Set at Library
SARATOGA SPRINGS – The popular Brown Bag Lunch Lecture Series is set for the 2017 spring season. This educational series is produced by the Saratoga Heritage Area Visitor Center in partnership with the Saratoga Springs Public Library.
All Brown Bag Lunch Lecture programs are FREE and open to the public – no registration required. The programs take place from noon – 1 pm and meet in the H. Dutcher Community Room in the Saratoga Springs Public Library, 49 Henry Street, Saratoga Springs.
The 2017 lineup of speakers and topics:
Thursday, March 9: Ulysses S. Grant and his Saratoga Connections, 1865 to 1885, presented by Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation’s Docent Gloria May and the Friends of Grant Cottage Site Historian Melissa Trombley-Prosch.
Thursday, April 6: The History of the Saratoga Chip, presented by Alan Richer – local Saratoga Chip historian and collector.
Thursday, May 11: The Burning of the Piping Rock: The Story Behind the Novel, presented by author Joe Cutshall-King.
Thursday, June 8: Saratoga Mineral Baths: Not Just for Saturday Nights, presented by Charlie Kuenzel.
