New restaurant breathes new life into The Pink Store location
Editor’s Note: Since the closing of the Friendly Corner Grocery and Deli aka “The Pink Store” by the Mullholland family (I gotta give you a reason to read this page rather than just a press release!), there have been a few culinary forays: Pizza place, BBQ joint and others… But here’s hoping that Eddie F’s seafood menu hits the right chord for folks in the neighborhood.)
SARATOGA SPRINGS – Eddie F’s is a casual eatery located at 119 Clinton Street, Saratoga Springs (formerly “The Pink Store”) where you walk up to the counter, order your food and chat with the neighborhood patrons until your food is delivered to your table.
Menu items include New England Seafood, Soups, Chowders, Hot Dogs, Burgers, Salads, Pasta, Pizza, Wings and Sandwiches. There is a little something for everyone, featuring Ipswich Whole Belly Clams & Strips. Lobster lovers can enjoy Hot and Cold Lobster Rolls, boasting 5 ounces of meat. Other New England specialties include Haddock, Scallops, and a Fish Fry served on a traditional New England roll. If comfort food is what you are looking for, try the Macaroni and Cheese made with Bacon, Steak, Chicken, Ham or Lobster. Several vegetarian options are also available!
Whether eating in or ordering take out, please be sure to give yourself a little extra time as everything is made fresh to order. Don’t miss Whole Belly Eddie- Monday ($11), Fish Fry- Tuesday ($11) and Lobster Roll- Wednesday ($16) (Each special comes with French Fries or Hand battered Onion Rings and slaw) Also Pizza Special All day Every Day- 2 cheese slices and a can of soda or bottle of water for $5.
