$2,000 Donation Delivered on Behalf of Bailey’s Cafe’
Today’s reason to be glad you live here comes from Mr. Cash Richardson, who delivered a whopping $2,000 check to a delighted Saratoga Senior Center. The $2,000 was raised by the second successful Sipping For Seniors event (see Story: Sipping at Bailey’s ) on Thursday, Feb. 9. Cash insisted on bringing the goods personally.
Despite being about 58 years away from being a Senior himself, Cash already appreciates the value in having strong community institutions. Agreeing heartily with all this is Executive Director Lois Celeste, who put together the Sipping event in conjunction with Bailey’s.
The Saratoga Senior Center has a wide variety of activities available. Their mission, since 1955, is to empower seniors to achieve and maintain personal independence and individual well-being by providing the program structure and support services necessary for healthy recreation, companionship, social involvement, and problem solving.
