I would like to share an experience that just happened in my office this past week. An employee of mine had her baby girl last week in Glens Falls. She had a long labor and had some complications during labor. The baby was kept in the hospital for two days due to these complications, with the doctors saying the baby had stomach and bowel issues (colic) and should be given ZANTAC two times per day…
Lets all understand that they do not make ZANTAC for babies, nor have they ever tested ZANTAC for use on infants, children, or anyone under 15 years of age. None the less, being a scared new mom she gave her the medication with very little help. After getting her call I immediately had her bring the child in so I could check her spine for nerve interference. After checking her spine it was found that during labor, the cervix was in the way and had the baby in a peculiar position. This twisted her spine and caused massive nerve interference which affected the babies GI system. After her very first adjustment the baby slept all night and has not had any colic symptoms what so ever. This story is not uncommon, it happens everyday in our offices and if this story surprises you then call us, visit our website, listen to us on the radio, find out more about chiropractic and how powerful it can be to have a wellness doctor in your life.

I am the new mother of the “Zantac” infant that Dr. Quartararo wrote about here. And after the life changing experience that my daughter and I had I feel that sharing my story is the least that I could do. Everything that he said was 100% accurate. My daughter was two weeks overdue and as a result of a few minor complications she endured quite a traumatic birth. Within the first few hours of her life it was very apparent that she was experiencing a fair amount of discomfort. She was soon diagnosed as having GI problems. Acid reflux, poor digestion, lack of appetite (the little bit she did eat she would spit up,) fussiness, wouldn’t sleep and constant unconsolable crying. The doctors told us it looked as though our daughter was going to be colicky and there really was not much that they could do to help us. And against our better judgement she was immediately put on Zantac and Hyosyne. She was not more than 24 hours old and already on prescription drugs. One thing that the AAC Wellness family had taught me was that medication was the wrong path to take. So naturally I was devistated at this solution. Not only did the medications not seem to have much of an affect on her symptoms but the side effects from the drugs took their toll as well. When she wasn’t crying she was lethargic, not eating and constipated. Being a new mom I felt lost, exhausted and overwhelmingly guilty for not being able to help my own baby. I brought my daughter in to see Dr.Q when she was two weeks old. I immediatly realized that the only thing to feel guilty about was not bringing her in sooner. The moment Dr.Q began the adjustment the gas in her little body was released, the fussiness subsided and the crying was over. She was a new baby. My daughter is now two months old and since that moment (she receives weekly adjustments) she has not had a single GI/Colic symptom. Not only does she sleep through the night now but she is medication free. Her father and I are now relieved, no longer sleep deprived, overjoyed and extremely grateful new parents. And our daughter is a happy, healthy, beautiful and well adjusted baby girl. Thank you AAC. You changed our lives.

This was a really very good post. In theory I’d like to write like this also – getting time and actual effort to make a great piece of writing… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and by no means appear to obtain something done.
