The award-winning Saratoga Springs History Museum presents changing exhibitions and public programs and hosts hundreds of researchers annually on three floors of a historic 1870's gambling casino, designated a National Historic Landmark.

The Saratoga Springs History Museum, founded in 1883 by influential residents like Ellen Hardin Walworth, is housed in the historic Canfield Casino.
With 16,000 artifacts and a photographic archive of 325,000 images, the museum offers changing exhibitions and public programs and supports researchers. Its mission is to preserve and interpret the rich history of Saratoga Springs.

Current:
The Saratoga Springs History Museum features the current exhibit "First Saratogians," funded by the Alfred Z. Solomon Charitable Trust, exploring Native American history in the region.
Permanent:
Permanent exhibits include "The Great Hotels of Saratoga Springs," showcasing 19th-century tourism, "Taking the Waters: The Mineral Springs," detailing the history of the city's famous springs, and the "Walworth Memorial Museum," presenting the dramatic history of the Walworth family. The museum collaborates with the Ndakinna Education Center for these exhibitions.
Events
The Saratoga Springs History Museum hosts various events, including Ghost Tours of the Canfield Casino throughout July, lectures, and book signings.
Key dates in 2024 include a Saratoga-West Point lecture on July 25, a book signing on August 21, and a Civil War talk on September 19. The museum reopens on October 16, with an Annual Dinner Theater on December 13 and a grand reopening on March 1, 2025.
