It's a win-win situation with the Saratoga Mentoring Program! Adult volunteers build skills and expand their horizons as they connect with children from challenging circumstances who could benefit from an adult confidant in their lives.
All You Need Is a Few Hours & A Desire to Reach Out to a Kid
Did you know that studies indicate children who have a mentor perform better in school, forge connections with peers, and are more likely to make positive life choices?
You can be a part of a child's growth when you volunteer to be a mentor with the Saratoga Mentoring Program. Mentors come from all segments of the Saratoga area and ages range from college students to retirees. Much like how those who adopt a pet maintain they are the ones who were rescued, mentors often feel they get more out of the experience than the kid.
Mentors spend time playing sports, attending concerts, playing games, or even going to watch a hockey game together. As a mentor, you will be able to make a difference in the life of a child and develop new skills to use during your own life.
