Overview

Located on Excelsior Avenue in the restored Van Raalte knitting mill.

The Empire Spring was discovered in 1793, and has also been known as the Walton or New Congress Spring. As it was originally located behind the Van Raalte knitting building, it was a favorite of the employees. In 2004, it was rerouted to the front of the building and retubed as part of the mill's restoration project.
