It’s 82 miles of dirt and paved roads, covered bridges, punishing hills and scenic rolling hills and it’s happening this weekend right here in the Battenkill Valley. It’s The Tour of the Battenkill and if you haven’t witnessed this spectacle – a kaleidoscope of colorful spandex and wrap-around sunglasses and very expensive bicycles – you ought to come take a look.
The 2010 edition played host to over 2,000 amateur and professional cyclists from throughout North America and dozens of nations worldwide, and, as usual, this year looks like it will surpass the previous one.
