This place is so awesome I almost hesitate to tell you about it, lest the secret get out. But OK, I guess I gotta…
Cheryl Baldwin is the director of The Georgi, a Georgi-ous nine-acre park and art museum and community center in the heart of Shushan. What’s that? You never heard of Shushan (pronounced Shoe, Shan)? Come east on Rt. 29, head south and follow the signs further east to find the community legendary fly fishing pioneer Lee Wulff called home.
Anyone can go to Clifton Park. It takes a spirit of adventure to come to Shushan. For now, we’ll just talk about the Georgi. On Thursday, July 2 at 7pm the Hubbard Hall Irish Dancers (and their band) will take the, er, grounds. Tickets are just $5 and it gives you an inexpensive entree into the world of this fabulous place.
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.” Rumi
