This creek flows east from Round Lake into the Hudson River through the town of Mechanicville. Tenandaho is the Native American name given to the creek. When this creek is running you can enjoy Class II-III rapids with a mix between natural and urban surroundings. There are some fallen trees across the river. Some of the challenging rapids include Round House and Joyce’s Log Cabin. There are several bridges and tunnels that you will paddle under when in Mechanicville. The Tenandaho Downriver Race takes place every spring. The Tenandaho Canoe Committee coordinates the race with sponsorship from local businesses. You can reach the Committee at (518)-584-2061.
